The later interpretations of law are important for understanding its relevancy to a particular use.  In the United States, it is an ethical lapse to not “Shepardize” or use a citator on a piece of law to check it accuracy.  As it stands, no state provides a citator for its law, opening retail users up to a possible mistake in use.
